Sandip Patel is the founder and chief executive officer of Devi Capital, a construction, real estate investment, development and management firm based in Morristown, Tennessee with a growing portfolio. Sandip launched Devi with 28 years in the hospitality industry serving in every role the industry has to offer.

Born in India, Sandip moved to the U.S. in 1995 to pursue the American Dream with limited English. Growing up in the hospitality industry, Sandip’s love for the business developed early in life. Early in his career, Sandip got his first taste of development when he opened a chain eatery franchise. Under his management, the restaurant saw record sales, leading the nation-wide chain in its opening month. Two years later, Sandip purchased his first 40-room hotel in Marion, Va, where he honed his skills in and love of hotel management and site development.

During his nearly three decades in the industry, Sandip developed the uncanny ability to spot a prosperous opportunity and sound judgment in risk assessment. Under his leadership, Devi Capital journey began with the development of several solid and noteworthy hotels in Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky, and continues with a number of new projects in the works. When it comes to transforming a dream into reality , Sandip believes one must never wait for opportunity, but instead create opportunity. “If you think it, then you can make it happen,” he says.

Outside of his work life, Sandip enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing volleyball and being an active member of his community.
